沙乌地阿拉伯王国（Kingdom of Saudi Arabia）

　　沙乌地阿拉伯是伊斯兰教的发源地。西元７世纪，伊斯兰教的创始人穆罕默德的一些继承者建立阿拉伯帝国，８世纪为鼎盛期，版图横跨欧、亚、非三洲。１１世纪开始衰落，１６世纪为奥斯曼帝国所统治。１９世纪英国侵入，当时分汉志和内志两部分。１９２４年内志酋长阿卜杜勒·阿齐兹·伊本·沙特统一了内志和汉志两部分，并於次年自立为国王。１９３２年９月１８日定国名为沙乌地阿拉伯王国。
